The Town of Weston, with the assistance of Vision Government Solutions, Inc., has established the preliminary assessments for the October 1, 2013 revaluation for all properties in Weston.   Connecticut state law requires the re-assessment of real property every five years.  The last town-wide revaluation was October 1, 2008.  The purpose of the five-year general re-assessment cycle is to update values to reflect the current real estate market.

The new fair market values and corresponding 70% assessments as of October 1, 2013, for all Weston properties are published herein.  Valuation booklets will also be available at the assessor’s office in Town Hall and at the Town Library.

Public input is an important component to the revaluation process. If you would like to discuss your new assessment with the assessor or a representative of Vision Government Solutions, please schedule an appointment by going to www.vgsi.com/schedules; click on Weston, CT Hearings, and follow the instructions.  If you prefer, appointments may be made by calling Vision Government Solutions at 1-888-844-4300 between the hours of 9:00 AM – 4:00PM, Monday – Friday.

These are informal meetings by appointment only and will be held in the Commission Room of the Weston Town Hall unless otherwise posted, at 56 Norfield Road, Weston, CT.

Please note that these are preliminary assessments.  Final values and associated 70% assessments will be established, after the public input is analyzed, at the end of January 2014.

Do not use the current mill rate to estimate future taxes.  A new mill rate will be set in the Spring of 2014.
