Welcome to the Schuylkill County Assessment Information Website.  It contains a copy of Property Assessment information, official 2025 values, and the updated physical descriptions captured as part of the County-wide Reassessment. 

Note: Assessment Property Class is NOT a Zoning Classification. Contact the appropriate Municipal Zoning Officer for Zoning Info.


If you have questions about deeded ownership, deeded land size, mapping issues, or current assessed values, call the Assessment Office at 570-628-1025.  All current "Appraisal" values are based on 1996 market value rates.  "Clean and Green" is based on Ag-Use values. "Assessments" are 50% of those values. (even for recent construction).

Review of your property data is encouraged. 

You can email potential errors to schuylkill@vgsi.com, or once you receive your preliminary value notice, you can schedule an informal review to go over it personally with a Vision clerk.

INFORMAL REVIEWS: If you have received a Preliminary Value Notice and wish to review the information on your property and discuss your notice with a clerk, you must schedule an appointment. Sorry, No walk-ins.

You may choose between a Phone call from us at a set time, OR an in-person meeting at the former STS building at 252 Industrial Park Road, St Clair, PA 17970.

In-Person: Please bring any physical evidence, in the form of photos, deeds, or letters, which will help show what characteristics and circumstances are unique to your property.  Appraisals are not necessary, but if provided will only be used to confirm accuracy of physical characteristics. 

Phone-Review: Email any photos or info to schuylkill@vgsi.com (Include PID# in the email subject line).

An informal review is to confirm the accuracy of data; not to discuss, appeal, or explain the value. State laws prohibits informal reviewers from discussing or adjusting value except to reflect changes to characteristics.

Owners will have the opportunity to present their opinion and evidence of value to an Appeal Board after the Final Value Notices are mailed on or before July 1st, 2025.

SCHEDULING: At the top of your preliminary value notice, you will find your PID number and appointment type. If you have more than two PID numbers you wish to review or a Commercial Appointment type, you MUST CALL, as these CANNOT be scheduled online.
