Welcome
The Town of South
Windsor has contracted with Vision Government Solutions to assist with the 2022
state mandated revaluation project. Both
the Assessor's Office and Vision Government Solutions would like to thank South
Windsor residents for their patience and cooperation throughout the 2022
Revaluation project.
The assessments shown on this site are the new
assessed valuation of all taxable and exempt properties based on 70% of market
value as of October 1, 2022. The previous assessments were as of October 1, 2017. If you wish to review your new assessment
with Vision project staff, please set up an appointment, following the
instructions outlined in the valuation notice that was mailed to all owners on
November 04, 2022.
Please
note that these assessed values do not reflect any exemptions, which will be
applied to the final assessments, prior to billing in July 2023.
Please do not use the current mill rate to
estimate your taxes. A new mill rate
will be established by the Town Council in May, 2023 once the Town’s annual
budget process is completed.
If after informal
review with Vision you wish to formally appeal your assessment, you may file an
appeal with the Town of South Windsor Board of Assessment Appeals.
Appeals to the Board of Assessment Appeals must be filed and received by the
Assessor's office on or before February 20th annually. You may obtain
an application for a Board of Assessment Appeals hearing at the Assessor’s
Office or online on the Town’s website.
