Welcome
Walpole Public Disclosure of FY 2027
Preliminary Values
Following state
statutes and Department of Revenue (DOR) regulations, the Board of Assessors is
completing the FY2027 Quinquennial Revaluation of all real and personal
property in Walpole. Revaluation is a year-long process when the DOR examines
in detail all assessing methodologies used by the town, as well as the values
derived through the mass appraisal system.
These valuations
have been preliminarily approved and are pending final certification by the
Massachusetts Department of Revenue. The values are subject to change within
this disclosure period. The public review period will run from Monday, October 19,
2026, to Monday, October 26, 2026.
The proposed values
were derived utilizing a methodology based on mass appraisal practices, and are
supported with 2025 real estate market conditions and are uniformly and
equitably applied to all properties.
The revaluation
process includes a public disclosure requirement to let property owners know
that there are proposed new values. A listing of all proposed real-property
values is accessible on the town’s online Assessor’s Database: https://gis.vgsi.com/walpolema/
Proposed values will
also be available at the Walpole Assessor’s Office during normal business hours
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00p.m., Tuesday 8:00 a.m. – 8:00
p.m., Friday 8:00 a.m. – Noon.
Please contact the
Assessor’s Office in person or by phone at 508-660-7315 during the public
disclosure period to ask questions, review, discuss, and request changes in
