FY2027 Preliminary Certified
Assessments
The FY2027 assessed values
currently posted on this site are Preliminary Certified Values and remain subject
to final certification and approval by the Massachusetts Department of Revenue
(DOR).
The FY2027 assessments reflect an
estimate of fair market value as of January 1, 2026, based upon an
analysis of qualified market activity, including arm’s-length property sales
that occurred during calendar year 2025.

Preliminary Disclosure Period
September 14 – September 18,
2026
As part of the Department of
Revenue certification process, the City of Lowell will conduct its Preliminary
Disclosure Period from Monday, September 14 through Friday, September 18, 2026.
Property owners are encouraged to
review both their Preliminary Assessment and the property information
contained on their property record card during this period.
Taxpayers who have questions
about their preliminary assessment or believe that property information may be
incorrect should contact the Assessor’s Office during the Preliminary
Disclosure Period at 978-674-4200. Our staff will be available to answer
questions, review property information, and discuss the preliminary assessment.
Following the close of the
Preliminary Disclosure Period, the Board of Assessors will proceed with the
remaining steps necessary to obtain final certification of the FY2027
assessments from the Massachusetts Department of Revenue.

Fair and equitable assessments
rely on accurate property data. Property owners are encouraged to review the
information shown for their property and contact the Assessor’s Office if they
believe any information may be inaccurate or requires clarification.

The Assessor’s Office is open to
the public during the following hours:
- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
