The 2026 General Reassessment is complete. Values are
effective 1/1/2026.
Notices were mailed to property owners for the 2026
General Reassessment in March 2026. Pursuant to ยง58.1-3330 of the Code
of Virginia, the 2026 levy shown on the 2026 Reassessment Notice is based on
the 2025 tax rate. A public hearing on the 2026 Real Estate Tax Rate will be
scheduled by the Board of Supervisors in the Board Chambers on or after May 26,
2026 at the County Administration building located at 16404 Courthouse Rd in
Eastville, VA, 23347.
Administrative appeals are requested to be filed
by April 30, 2026 to allow time for review, prior to the Board of
Equalization filing deadline. Administrative appeals filed
after April 30th will be reviewed by the COR following the completion
of all other timely filed appeals.
Board of Equalization (BOE) appeals have a
statutory deadline of November 1, 2026.
