The Wareham Board of Assessors is responsible for the full and fair market valuation of real and personal property for the purpose of levying the property tax as of January 1st every year. 

It is the responsibility of the Assessors Office to maintain valuations at full and fair cash value, and to meet the Department of Revenue requirements for property valuation annually. 

The Assessors Office collects and maintains a data on each parcel of property in the Town of Wareham. Every effort to ensure the accuracy of the database is taken by the Assessors Office. If you find any discrepancies with your property record, please bring it to the attention of the Assessors Office for correction. It is our mission to maintain accurate records, and to provide the taxpayers of Wareham prompt and efficient service.

The Wareham Assessors Office is located at Memorial Town Hall, 54 Marion Rd. Our office hours are:

8:15 am to 6:00 pm - Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays  and 8:15 am to 6:30 pm - Tuesdays  Note: Closed Fridays

Fiscal Year 2024 Tax Rates: 

Town of Wareham = $9.23/thousand

 Wareham Fire District = $2.00/thousand. 

Onset Fire District = $2.45/thousand. 

CPA is 3% of taxes for Commercial & Industrial / Residential CPA Is 3% of taxes based on assessed value less $100,000.  For example,

 1)Assessed value 400,000 - 100,000 = 300,000

 2) 300 X 9.23=2,769 X 3%= $83.07 CPA
