Real Estate Assessed Values for Fiscal 2025
The Town of Wareham has completed the five year certification for FY2025. As part
of this program, the Department of Revenue’s Division of Local Services (DLS),
through the Bureau of Local Assessment (BLA) has undertaken a comprehensive
review of the assessor’s policies and procedures used in determining the
proposed assessments for fiscal year 2025. The review ensures that those
assessments meet the constitutional and statutory requirements of full and fair
cash value as of the January 1, 2024, assessment date for fiscal 2025.
The new assessments will appear for the first time on the
third quarter tax bills that will be issued in late December of this year.
Property owners are asked to remember that a given
percentage change in assessed value does not translate into a similar
percentage change in the amount of taxes that a property owner will have to
pay.
Assessing staff are available to answer questions regarding individual assessments during normal business
hours.

For Fiscal 2025, the deadline for receipt of abatement applications is February 3, 2025.
