Real Estate Assessed Values for Fiscal 2026
The Town of Wareham has finalized Real Estate and Personal Property valuations for Fiscal Year 2026. These values have been approved by the Department of Revenue’s Division of Local Services (DLS),
through the Bureau of Local Assessment (BLA). The DLS review ensures that assessments meet the constitutional and statutory requirements of full and fair
cash value as of the January 1, 2025, assessment date for fiscal 2026.
The new assessments will appear for the first time on the
third quarter tax bills that will be issued in late December of this year.
Property owners are asked to remember that a given
percentage change in assessed value does not translate into a similar
percentage change in the amount of taxes that a property owner will have to
pay.
Assessing staff are available to answer questions regarding individual assessments during normal business
hours.
The Tax rates for FY2026 have been certified by the Dept. of Revenue

For Fiscal 2025, the deadline for receipt of abatement applications is February 2, 2025.
