Welcome
Welcome to the Westport, CT Online Assessment Database.
In accordance with
Connecticut General Statutes, the Town of Westport has completed a Revaluation
of all real property for the October 1, 2020 Grand List. Shown below is the new
assessment of your property as established by the Assessor and Vision
Government Solutions. Your assessment is
based on 70% of market value. Exemptions
to assessments (for example: Veteran’s exemptions) are not shown as part of
this notice but will be applied to the final assessments.
Do not apply the current tax (mill) rate
to your new assessment, as doing so will result in an inaccurate calculation.
The
new mill rate will be determined by the Town in the spring of 2021.
You may review your new
assessment on the Vision Government Solutions web site: www.vgsi.com. This site will allow
inquiry access to the Assessor’s database, including value summary, property
data, and general revaluation information. Property
owners with recent building permits should check with the Assessor’s Office at
203-341-1070 to verify that improvements have been included in the 2020
assessment.
Property owners wishing to
have their new assessments reviewed through an informal telephone hearing
with a representative of Vision Government Solutions may do so by scheduling an
appointment online at: www.vgsi.com/schedules and follow the instructions. You
will need the parcel ID number (PID#) at the top of this letter to book your
appointment. If you have more than
two parcels to discuss or do not have access to a computer, please call Vision Government
Solutions at 1-888-844-4300 between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday
through Friday, excluding public holidays. Please book your appointment within 5 days
of receipt of this letter. All
hearings will be conducted via telephone, by appointment only, beginning on January 4, 2021. You may send any written documents
supporting your property value by mail to Vision Government Solutions, 1 Cabot
Drive, Ste 100, Hudson MA 01749, or email to mailbox1@vgsi.com, or fax to 508-351-3797.
Please do not call the Assessor’s Office to schedule
appointments.
